Senior Planning Engineer

About the role

The Senior Planning Engineer will lead the development, monitoring and control of project schedules for large‑scale landscaping projects. You will provide expert planning, forecasting and risk analysis to support strategic decisions and ensure contractual compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules aligned with scope, budget and strategic objectives.
• Prepare baseline programs, resource allocation plans and cash‑flow projections.
• Conduct critical‑path, scenario and what‑if analyses to anticipate risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Integrate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities into a unified master schedule.
• Monitor performance against baselines, identify variances and recommend recovery strategies.
• Produce progress reports, dashboards and executive presentations for leadership and clients.
• Support delay‑analysis, claims and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, FIDIC standards and organisational policies.
• Mentor junior planning staff and drive continuous improvement of planning tools and methodologies.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years (96 months) of experience in construction project planning and control.
• Proven expertise with Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and industry regulations.
• Ability to analyse complex data, produce actionable insights and communicate them to senior leadership.
• Experience in mentoring junior engineers and fostering cross‑functional collaboration.
