Senior Project Engineer – Instrumentation & Control

About the role

Penspen is seeking a Senior Project Engineer with a strong Instrumentation & Control (I&C) background to lead site‑based activities for oil & gas facilities in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures that project execution aligns with approved drawings, specifications, schedule, quality, and safety standards while coordinating closely with EPC contractors, vendors, and the PMC team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate on‑site execution activities with a focus on I&C systems.
• Ensure all work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and procedures.
• Collaborate with EPC contractors, construction teams, and PMC disciplines to drive progress.
• Monitor project milestones, identify issues early, and support timely resolution.
• Maintain strict adherence to HSE, quality, and project standards.
• Review technical queries, method statements, and work plans submitted on site.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover of I&C systems.
• Provide regular status reports to the PMC and client teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience on oil & gas projects.
• Extensive site‑based experience with I&C systems.
• Proven track record working with EPC contractors and PMC teams.
• Strong knowledge of oil & gas site execution practices.
• Excellent coordination and communication abilities.
