Senior Project Manager – Onshore Gas Storage

About the role

Worley is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major on‑shore gas storage project in Abu Dhabi, overseeing the full lifecycle from concept and FEED through detailed engineering and EPC support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of large‑scale on‑shore gas storage projects, ensuring compliance with contractual scope, budget, schedule and quality targets.
• Develop and implement Project Execution Plans (PEP) and monitor key performance metrics.
• Act as the single point of contact for the client, managing relationships, review meetings and executive presentations.
• Coordinate interfaces with licensors, EPC contractors, vendors and third‑party consultants.
• Oversee engineering deliverables for gas storage facilities, compression systems, gas processing, pipeline interfaces, utilities, off‑sites and storage terminals, ensuring adherence to specifications, codes and regulations.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, profitability and scope changes, supporting contract negotiations.
• Lead risk identification, HSE compliance and overall project risk management.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering large‑scale on‑shore gas storage or similar energy infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams through FEED and detailed design phases.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior executives.
• Solid commercial acumen, including budget control, forecasting and variation management.
• Knowledge of HSE standards and risk management practices in the energy sector.
