Senior QA/QC Engineer – Mechanical/E&I – Offshore

About the role

Penspen is seeking an experienced Senior QA/QC Engineer to lead quality assurance and control activities for mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works on an offshore PMC project in the UAE. The role involves ensuring compliance with project specifications, international codes and client standards throughout construction and pre‑commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements and QA/QC procedures.
• Conduct site inspections for piping, equipment installation, welding, and mechanical completion.
• Monitor construction activities to guarantee adherence to API, ASME and ISO quality requirements.
• Manage Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and construction teams on all quality matters.
• Witness and verify hydro‑test, pneumatic test, FAT/SAT, calibration, loop checks and pre‑commissioning activities.
• Evaluate contractor and vendor performance, including subcontractor compliance and vendor inspections.
• Maintain quality documentation, inspection records and final handover dossiers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• 15‑18+ years of mechanical QA/QC experience in offshore oil & gas.
• 5‑10+ years of proven experience on offshore projects, preferably with ADNOC or similar environments.
• Strong background in welding engineering, NDE methods and mechanical equipment standards.
• Previous PMC or client‑side roles with a track record of delivering quality on large offshore contracts.
