Senior Quality Engineer

About the role

The Senior Quality Engineer will lead quality strategy for design projects across civil, structural, MEP and architectural disciplines. Reporting to the Head of Quality in Design, you will ensure that design consultants and sub‑consultants embed a right‑first‑time culture and comply with NEOM’s quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review legislative and statutory requirements and assess their impact on project programmes.
• Support the ED Directorate in reviewing and approving design consultants' QMS documentation (Quality Manual, plans, processes, templates).
• Manage QA‑related records and promote a culture of lessons learned and continuous improvement.
• Prepare and present Design Management Review materials and ensure recommendations are closed out.
• Act as the focal point for all design‑quality matters, escalating potential breaches to the Head of Quality.
• Oversee design consultants and sub‑consultants, ensuring their quality management systems align with contractual requirements and NEOM procedures.
• Audit design consultants' quality arrangements and provide assurance to senior project leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in quality engineering within the construction or design sector.
• Strong knowledge of design management systems and quality assurance processes.
• Excellent communication skills across all project levels.
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
