Senior School Physics Teacher

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior School Physics Teacher to join GEMS Cambridge International School in Dubai. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality physics instruction to students in Grades 10‑13, covering both IGCSE and BTEC curricula, and will contribute to the wider academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess physics lessons for Grades 10‑13, ensuring alignment with IGCSE and BTEC standards.
• Develop engaging practical experiments and laboratory activities.
• Provide targeted support to students, preparing them for examinations and university pathways.
• Collaborate with department colleagues to share best practices and mentor less‑experienced teachers.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and wellbeing.

Required profile

• Master of Science and a Bachelor of Education (distance or open‑university degrees not accepted).
• Proven experience teaching physics to Grades 10‑13, including BTEC modules.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Creative, enthusiastic approach both inside and outside the classroom.
• Excellent command of English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard IT tools for lesson preparation and student reporting.
