Senior Site Engineer – Electrical (Power Generation)

About the role

SEGULA Technologies is seeking a Senior Site Engineer – Electrical to lead electrical design review, installation, testing and commissioning for a confidential power‑generation IPP project in Dubai. The role involves close collaboration with EPC, Owner’s Engineer and client teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings, single‑line diagrams, load‑flow, short‑circuit and protection studies.
• Supervise installation of transformers, switchgear, MCCs, panels, cables, cable trays, earthing and lighting systems.
• Monitor electrical works for quality, safety, schedule compliance and adherence to specifications.
• Review method statements, ITPs, test procedures and commissioning documentation.
• Witness and validate electrical testing including insulation resistance, continuity, earthing, protection relay and functional tests.
• Coordinate electrical interfaces with grid, I&C, mechanical and EPC teams.
• Prepare O&M manuals, spare‑parts lists, as‑built drawings and close‑out documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10–12 years of electrical engineering and site supervision experience.
• Background in power generation, utilities, industrial plants or EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of MV/LV systems, protection, testing and commissioning.
• Owner’s Engineer or consultant‑side experience preferred.
• UAE/GCC project experience is an advantage.
