Senior Software Engineer – IT Group Security & Facial Recognition

About the role

Emirates Group IT is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its IT Group Security team, focusing on facial recognition solutions. You will work within an agile feature team, delivering secure, high‑quality code that supports the airline’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior technical engineers to design and analyse application requirements.
• Translate technical solutions into low‑level design and production‑ready code.
• Write secure, optimized code following Emirates Group coding standards.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and resolve production incidents within SLA.
• Ensure 100% unit test coverage and integrate code into CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain code quality through refactoring, logging, and monitoring hooks.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in an Agile environment.
• Proven experience designing, developing and maintaining medium to large‑scale enterprise applications.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a focus on code quality.
