Senior Solar Design & Estimation Engineer

About the role

Nippon Energy is seeking a Senior Solar Design & Estimation Engineer to join its Dubai office. The role focuses on creating detailed photovoltaic (PV) system designs and cost estimates for commercial and utility‑scale solar projects, ensuring compliance with local codes and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop complete PV system layouts, electrical schematics, single‑line diagrams, and cable sizing.
• Prepare technical proposals, cost estimations, and feasibility analyses.
• Perform shading analysis, performance modeling, and layout optimization.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and procurement teams throughout the tender and execution phases.
• Review contractor and vendor submissions and provide technical guidance during construction.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of solar power systems and experience with commercial or utility‑scale projects.
• Advanced expertise in PV design, system configuration, and grid interconnection requirements.
• Solid background in electrical design, including protection devices and cable sizing.
• Proficiency with solar simulation tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, or ETAP.
