Senior Structural Engineer - Construction (Bridges and Underpass)

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the construction supervision of bridges, viaducts and underpasses in Dubai. You will work closely with the Resident Engineer, design teams and contractors to ensure safe, on‑time delivery of complex infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising bridge and underpass construction activities.
• Coordinate daily activities with the construction supervision team and other engineers.
• Review shop drawings, design proposals and method statements, preparing responses for the Resident Engineer.
• Maintain daily diaries, inspection reports and progress documentation.
• Schedule resources with contractor engineers and monitor inspector and surveyor performance.
• Chair meetings with authorities, contractors and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure safety goals are met and oversee implementation of site safety procedures.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and track work against the programme.

Required profile

• Senior‑level structural engineer with extensive experience in bridge and underpass projects.
• Proven ability to supervise construction, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and communicate with stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of design review processes, construction documentation and safety management.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail for record‑keeping and progress tracking.
