Senior Structural Engineer - Site

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead on‑site structural engineering activities for a building project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves ensuring design integrity, safety and quality throughout construction while acting as a technical leader for multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all structural and civil engineering activities on‑site, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, codes and standards.
• Conduct detailed structural inspections, quality audits and testing to verify workmanship and material compliance.
• Identify structural issues, propose and implement corrective measures to maintain project quality and schedule.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation and daily site records on progress and findings.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants and clients to resolve design queries and site challenges.
• Review and approve structural drawings, shop drawings and construction methodologies before implementation.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance through regular site monitoring and audits.
• Manage structural testing programmes, including material, load and non‑destructive testing.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and site teams, promoting technical excellence.
• Maintain organized project records and databases using BIM and project management systems.

Required profile

• Significant experience in structural engineering on construction sites.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Familiarity with building codes, specifications and standards applicable in the UAE.
• Experience using BIM and project management tools for documentation and record‑keeping.
