Senior Structural Engineer (Steel)

About the role

Dar is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer specialized in steel structures to support the Project Manager in delivering high‑quality engineering solutions across the United Arab Emirates. The role involves overseeing design coordination, structural analysis, and on‑site implementation to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with structural analysis and design coordination of steel structures and determine required technical resources.
• Review and verify design office drawings, reports, and specifications for completeness and accuracy.
• Interpret construction drawings, contract documents, and applicable standards before execution.
• Check contractor correspondences on contractual issues, provide recommendations, and support the QS/Contracts team.
• Visit work sites regularly to monitor progress, quality, and resolve conflicts, ensuring HSE compliance.
• Lead and supervise engineers, inspectors, and surveyors during construction, evaluating contractor performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Extensive experience in structural engineering with a focus on steel structures and a proven track record of leading projects.
