Senior Technical DevOps Engineer – Observability

About the role

Emirates is looking for a Senior Technical DevOps Engineer to join its Observability team. You will lead the design, implementation and administration of modern monitoring solutions for infrastructure, applications and platforms, while driving DevOps and automation practices across product and program streams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the discovery and migration phases of cloud adoption, partnering with architects and security teams to define DevOps and cloud engineering architectures.
• Automate change management, resiliency, monitoring, capacity planning and emergency response for assigned product sets.
• Own service reliability, scalability and performance for Agile release trains, improving continuous deployment pipelines.
• Review and optimise deployment and operational environments to reduce failures and expand monitoring coverage.
• Collaborate with Release Engineering, Product Development and Security to implement canary‑style deployments and safe rollback mechanisms.
• Design, build and maintain technical environments for CI/CD based on cloud‑native principles such as the 12‑factor app model.
• Advise and architect security solutions following DevSecOps principles.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading DevOps and automation initiatives at an enterprise level.
• Strong background in site reliability engineering and cloud engineering.
• Ability to act as a bridge between development and operations, applying an engineering mindset to system administration.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to improving product lifecycles.
