Senior Technician

About the role

Perform effective and efficient repair and maintenance of customer vehicles following approved manufacturer repair techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Collect job orders and necessary materials, tools and equipment to perform repairs and maintenance according to manufacturer techniques.
• Accurately diagnose faults, manage time efficiently and report any delays to the Team Leader.
• Ensure all additional repairs are authorized, parts are booked, and warranty parts are returned properly for audit.
• Maintain personal tools, keep lifts and work area clean, and comply with health and safety standards.
• Clock on/off correctly in the system and document work in the repair order as required.

Required profile

• Diploma in Automotive Engineering or a 2‑year ITI certified Auto Technician course.
• 2–3 years of experience for diploma holders or 3–5 years for ITI holders.
• Completion of basic technical courses offered by vehicle manufacturers.

Required skills

• Proficiency in automotive repair techniques and manufacturer‑specified procedures.
• Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of mechanical and basic electrical systems.
• Basic electrical knowledge applicable to vehicle systems.
• Ability to follow health, safety and environmental disposal guidelines.
