Senior Technician – Utilities & Maintenance

About the role

Vieco Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Senior Technician to lead the operation, preventive and breakdown maintenance of all utility and facility systems in its GMP‑compliant manufacturing site. The role ensures strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Engineering Practices while supporting continuous improvement and energy‑saving initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure GMP compliance and Good Engineering Practices across all utility activities.
• Operate, monitor and maintain utility equipment, water‑purification, HVAC, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, fire‑pump house, electrical and building systems.
• Manage the Building Management System (BMS) and Environmental Monitoring System (EMS) during shifts.
• Perform filter cleaning, whole‑plant AC monitoring, compressed‑air system upkeep and small‑project implementation.
• Coordinate calibration, validation and qualification of instruments and equipment with external agencies and internal QA teams.
• Maintain calibration schedules, execute initial calibrations for new equipment, and ensure timely corrective actions for any discrepancies.
• Support fire‑hydrant and firefighting equipment maintenance.
• Drive energy‑saving, automation and process‑development initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in utility and facilities maintenance within a GMP‑regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of Good Engineering Practices and relevant SOPs.
• Ability to work shift patterns and respond to breakdown situations promptly.
• Excellent coordination skills with cross‑functional teams and external service providers.
• Attention to detail for calibration, validation and documentation activities.
