Senior Vehicle Preparation Coordinator

About the role

The Vehicle Preparation Coordinator ensures that every vehicle leaving the Hertz fleet meets the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Supervisor of Vehicle Preparation, the role leads a team of Vehicle Preparation Associates, overseeing cleaning, inspection, and inventory processes to enhance the customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct random quality inspections of at least five vehicles per shift and report any discrepancies.
• Train and coach Vehicle Preparation Associates on acceptance criteria, standard work procedures, and damage identification.
• Update the shift huddle board and lead pre‑shift briefings to communicate daily objectives.
• Manage the Order of Production Bar by updating vehicle cards according to business needs.
• Reconcile daily manifests with Excel tracking sheets maintained by the Shift Supervisor.
• Oversee stock levels, yard maintenance, and the handling of lost‑and‑found items.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in vehicle preparation, automotive services, or related operational roles.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a frontline team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting and coordinating with supervisors.

Required skills

• Excel for inventory and manifest reconciliation.
