Senior/Lead Backend Engineer

About the role

Fuse Energy is building a next‑generation, fully integrated energy company and needs a senior backend engineer to design and deliver the core digital infrastructure that powers its renewable generation, grid services and consumer app.

Key responsibilities

• Construct a real‑time digital twin of renewable generation and customer demand.
• Develop messaging interfaces with third‑party providers.
• Build high‑volume pipelines for processing customer energy consumption data.
• Design and implement the backend for a world‑class energy application.
• Own projects end‑to‑end, adapt to evolving business needs and drive technical change.

Required profile

• Demonstrated excellence as a software engineer.
• At least 2 years of professional experience.
• Proven ability to define and build complex, highly available systems.
• Hands‑on experience shipping production‑grade backend services.
• Clear communication skills.

Required skills

• AWS CDK (infrastructure as code)
