Service Designer Team Lead (3‑Month Contract) – Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Service Designer to lead a small team in redesigning key energy and mobility services for our Abu Dhabi operations. This 3‑month contract role will drive the creation of seamless customer experiences across physical, digital and assisted‑service channels.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain service experience design standards across all channels.
• Lead the redesign of core services such as fuel, EV charging, LPG, car wash and VIP/customer‑value‑added offerings.
• Plan and facilitate ideation and co‑design workshops with service lines and stakeholders.
• Develop persona‑anchored journey design methodology and produce service blueprints, journey maps and experience principles.
• Identify pain points and prioritize design initiatives that deliver the greatest business and customer impact.
• Build, coach and manage a Service Design team consisting of a specialist and an analyst.
• Represent Service Design in cross‑functional governance reviews with Operations, IT, Human Capital, Quality & Training and Call Centre teams.
• Ensure design recommendations are translated into actionable implementation plans and frontline processes.

Required profile

• 7 + years of experience in Service Design, Customer Experience or related fields.
• Proven track record leading service‑design or CX transformation projects across multiple touchpoints.
• Strong background designing end‑to‑end journeys for physical, digital and assisted‑service channels.
• Experience facilitating co‑design workshops and stakeholder alignment.
• Ability to build and develop a small service‑design team.
