About the role
The Shift Engineer will oversee all engineering and maintenance operations for Le Méridien Fujairah, ensuring the building, grounds and physical plant operate safely, efficiently and in line with regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the physical plant, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, water‑treatment and electrical systems.
- Develop and monitor preventive‑maintenance schedules, budgets and capital‑expenditure projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety, fire‑life‑safety and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate service contracts, supervise contractors and oversee renovation or new‑construction projects.
- Maintain asset protection, energy‑conservation initiatives and inventory of parts and equipment.
Required profile
- High school diploma/GED with at least 3 years of engineering‑maintenance experience, or a 2‑year degree in Building & Construction, Engineering or related field with at least 1 year of experience.
- Technical training in HVAC‑R, electrical and plumbing systems.
