Shipping Coordinator

About the role

The Shipping Coordinator acts as the legally authorized representative for the group's maritime and commercial shipping operations in the UAE, handling high‑level document execution and providing essential administrative and liaison support.

Key responsibilities

• Authorized representative for UAE maritime and commercial shipping transactions.
• Execute and sign charter party agreements, legal contracts, deeds and related shipping documentation.
• Manage the document lifecycle to ensure timely execution and completion of all legal agreements.
• Apply the official company seal to validate legal and official documents.
• Liaise with government departments, banks, auditors and company secretaries to submit and collect official documents.
• Perform daily office administration, organize corporate files and maintain accurate paperwork.
• Support financial and audit processes, maintain knowledge of Danaos maritime accounting software, compile documents for audits and act as point of contact for auditors.
• Undertake ad‑hoc projects and special assignments as directed by management.

Required profile

• Authorized to act as the official signatory for maritime transactions in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of commercial shipping documentation and contract execution.
• Experience in government and corporate liaison for document submission and collection.
• Proficiency in office administration and record‑keeping.
• Ability to support audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries.
