Shovel Operator

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Shovel Operator to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves operating hydraulic and mechanical shovels to excavate and load materials for construction and oil‑and‑gas projects. The successful candidate will ensure safe, efficient operations while adhering to company and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain hydraulic and mechanical shovels to excavate and load materials onto trucks or designated areas.
• Perform pre‑operation checks and routine maintenance to ensure equipment functionality.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and team members to ensure efficient task execution.
• Maintain accurate records of excavated materials, maintenance, and repairs.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
• Comply with environmental regulations and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience operating shovels in oil & gas or construction settings.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
