Site HSE Engineer

About the role

Wood Group is seeking a Site HSE Engineer to join a PMC team on an ADNOC project in Dubai. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with HSSE policies, driving continual improvement, and supporting day‑to‑day project operations.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and apply Wood Group’s HSSE policies, ensuring compliance and pollution prevention.
• Support the development and implementation of the HSE Management System and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide expert advice on HSE matters related to daily project activities.
• Monitor and report on the main contractor’s HSE performance.
• Assist with HSE audits, studies, and incident‑prevention measures.
• Help the contractor develop and implement HSE improvements.
• Contribute to the creation of project health, safety and environmental risk registers.
• Ensure timely closure of actions arising from inspections, audits, and accident investigations.

Required profile

• BSc in Engineering, Safety or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of overall professional experience.
• Minimum 8 years in oil & gas, refining or petrochemical industries.
• At least 5 years performing HSE engineering duties on similar projects.
