Social Media Executive (1-year temporary contract)

About the role

The Social Media Executive will support the Director of Marketing in planning and executing cross‑channel campaigns that raise awareness and drive enrolments for GEMS schools across the UAE. Working closely with the digital team, admissions, and external agencies, you will create and manage social content, engage online communities and ensure brand consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing integrated marketing plans and coordinated campaigns with the Digital, PR, and Admissions teams.
• Create and maintain social media content calendars for school campaigns.
• Produce short‑form video assets (reels, shorts, live streams) and other creative materials.
• Manage community engagement, monitor reputation and respond to audience interactions.
• Provide toolkits, templates and guidance to schools for effective social media execution.
• Track, analyse and optimise performance metrics across platforms, sharing insights with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with GEMS Education Group Marketing on flagship campaigns and manage relationships with influencers, vendors and agencies.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing and social media, preferably within education, hospitality or luxury consumer services.
• Proven record of delivering campaigns that generate measurable results.
• Strong ability to work with senior leadership, teachers and external partners.
