Social Media Intern – Create Engaging Content

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Social Media Intern to join the Time Out Ras Al Khaimah team. You will create and edit video content for Instagram and TikTok while exploring the city and its events.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and edit short‑ and long‑form video content on a mobile phone for all social media channels.
• Write captions and copy that resonate with our target audience.
• Edit videos using native mobile editing apps.
• Stay up‑to‑date with local happenings, social media trends, new features and best practices.
• Assist with additional social media tasks and projects as needed.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree (e.g., Filming, Communications, Digital Media).
• Strong written and verbal communication with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
• Dynamic, proactive attitude and willingness to attend events outside office hours.

Required skills

• Filming on a mobile phone.
• Mobile video editing using apps such as InShot, CapCut, etc.
• Knowledge of Instagram and TikTok platforms.
