About the role

The Millennium School, part of GEMS Education, is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Social Studies Teacher to join its supportive community in the United Arab Emirates. You will deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons that inspire critical thinking and curiosity among a diverse student body.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver Social Studies lessons using differentiated instruction and digital tools.
• Incorporate inquiry‑based learning, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking strategies into daily teaching.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement and produce detailed progress reports.
• Establish clear classroom routines, high behavioural expectations and effective classroom management.
• Uphold school policies on discipline, safeguarding and student welfare.
• Build positive relationships with students and support their social‑emotional well‑being.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, assemblies and field trips.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (BA/MA/B.Ed) with a degree in Sociology.
• Minimum two years of proven teaching experience in Social Studies.
• Strong knowledge of the CBSE curriculum.
• Effective classroom management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital teaching tools and educational technologies for instruction and assessment.
