Software Development Lead – Digital Applications

About the role

Etihad Airways is looking for a Software Development Lead to drive the engineering squads that build and enhance its web and mobile applications. The role blends technical leadership, people management, and delivery oversight to ensure the digital solutions are scalable, secure, and high‑performing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor cross‑functional development squads for web and mobile platforms.
• Own technical delivery, aligning with business and product priorities.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, UX, QA, and DevOps teams to ship customer‑facing solutions.
• Drive Agile delivery, manage risks, dependencies, and commitments.
• Provide guidance on architecture, cloud, APIs, and mobile technologies.
• Establish best practices for coding, testing, CI/CD, security, and reliability.
• Champion automation, DevOps, and modern engineering practices.
• Manage team performance, capability development, and workforce planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years leading teams.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale web and mobile applications.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
