Sourcing & Product Development Manager

About the role

Bearaby is an award‑winning direct‑to‑consumer brand that creates sustainable comfort products such as weighted blankets. The company is looking for a Sourcing & Product Development Manager to own the relationship with manufacturers and lead new products from concept through to launch, working closely with demand planning, design and e‑commerce teams across the US and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all manufacturers, ensuring production stays on schedule and inventory levels are maintained.
• Collaborate with the Demand Planning team to prioritize products and sales channels based on forecasted demand.
• Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with manufacturers, securing the best cost without compromising quality.
• Maintain multiple supplier options for each product to increase negotiating power and provide backup capacity.
• Coordinate quality inspections, resolve issues early, and proactively address potential delays.
• Partner with the design team to translate new product ideas into manufacturable specifications.
• Identify and evaluate potential manufacturers, comparing cost, quality, and lead times.
• Conduct market research to set appropriate pricing and calculate profit margins for new products.
• Own the end‑to‑end product development process, ensuring timely launch and compliance with brand standards.

Required profile

• At least 60 months (5 years) of experience in sourcing, supplier negotiation, and product development.
• Proven ability to manage relationships with multiple manufacturers and drive projects to successful completion.
• Strong analytical mindset to prioritize demand and assess market pricing.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams across different regions.
