Sous Chef – Luxury Resort, Dubai

About the role

Join the culinary team at One&Only The Palm, a luxury beachfront resort in Dubai, as a Sous Chef. You will support the Chef De Cuisine in delivering exceptional dining experiences for discerning guests.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef De Cuisine in leading, managing and organising kitchen operations.
• Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout the kitchen.
• Ensure adequate stock levels, manage inventory and oversee operating equipment.
• Control food cost and enforce service standard procedures.
• Supervise, motivate and train kitchen staff to achieve top‑level performance.
• Prepare mise‑en‑place accurately before each service.
• Participate in the execution of special functions and events.
• Coordinate with the Food & Beverage department and maintain smooth inter‑department relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a high‑end resort or hotel kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to manage inventory, equipment and food cost effectively.
• Leadership skills to supervise and train kitchen teams.
• Excellent communication skills for guest interaction and internal coordination.
