Specialist Consultant Medical Oncologist

About the role

A leading UAE healthcare organization is expanding its cancer care team and seeks a Specialist Consultant Medical Oncologist. The role involves delivering comprehensive oncology services in a modern, multidisciplinary environment equipped with advanced treatment facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients with a wide spectrum of malignant diseases.
• Develop individualized cancer treatment plans based on clinical findings, pathology, imaging and evidence‑based guidelines.
• Administer and oversee systemic anti‑cancer therapies, monitoring response, side effects and disease progression.
• Provide follow‑up, survivorship care and manage treatment‑related complications.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings and collaborate with surgeons, radiation oncologists, radiologists and pathologists.
• Maintain accurate medical records, clinical documentation and contribute to audits, research and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• MBBS, MD or equivalent medical qualification with recognized postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.
• Specialist registration such as UK CCT/MRCP, American Board, Australian Board, South African Board or equivalent.
• Significant experience in oncology, preferably in a tertiary‑care hospital or comprehensive cancer centre.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing solid tumours and/or haematological malignancies; subspecialty experience in breast, GI, lung, GU, gynaecological or haematological oncology is an advantage.
• Strong clinical judgment, multidisciplinary teamwork and patient‑centred communication.
