Specialist Neonatologist – Level III/IV NICU

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate and highly skilled Specialist Neonatologist to deliver advanced care for premature, critically ill and high‑risk newborns in a Level III/IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role involves direct patient management, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and participation in academic and quality‑improvement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care for premature, critically ill and high‑risk newborn infants.
• Diagnose, stabilize and manage neonatal medical and surgical conditions.
• Attend high‑risk deliveries and perform immediate neonatal resuscitation.
• Manage respiratory disorders, infections, congenital anomalies, metabolic and neurological conditions.
• Perform advanced neonatal procedures such as intubation, umbilical catheterization, arterial line insertion, mechanical ventilation, CPAP, surfactant administration and resuscitation.
• Interpret laboratory, imaging and monitoring data to guide treatment.
• Supervise junior physicians, residents, fellows and medical students.
• Participate in case conferences, mortality reviews, quality‑improvement initiatives and research.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or equivalent Neonatology qualification.
• Extensive experience in Level III/IV NICU settings.
• Strong knowledge of evidence‑based neonatal medicine and international care guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills for counseling families and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
