Specialist Payroll and Payments

About the role

The Payroll and Payments Specialist will manage end‑to‑end payroll processes for UAE & GCC employees, ensuring accurate and timely payments while supporting HR teams and addressing employee queries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage payroll inputs, system uploads and execute monthly, off‑cycle and final settlement payrolls.
• Maintain accurate payroll documentation and transaction records.
• Perform monthly pension reconciliations and resolve pension issues.
• Independently verify payroll calculations (gross‑to‑net, net‑to‑net) and conduct reconciliations.
• Initiate payroll costing and payment processing in the payroll system.
• Resolve employee payroll queries received via HR stakeholders and ASK HR within SLA.
• Generate standard and ad‑hoc payroll reports and conduct data analysis.
• Contribute to policy development, system improvements and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related discipline.
• 3‑5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a banking environment.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and payroll practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and high numerical aptitude.
• Customer‑oriented mindset with the ability to provide tier‑2 support.
