Specialist Physician – Pediatric Endocrinology

About the role

The Specialist Physician in Pediatric Endocrinology will deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based, patient‑centered care under the supervision of a Consultant Physician. The role includes clinical duties, supervision of junior staff, and participation in departmental initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat pediatric endocrine patients according to best‑practice standards.
• Lead ward rounds, reassess in‑patients and out‑patients regularly, and document clinical information promptly.
• Supervise and train junior medical staff, sharing responsibility for their patient care.
• Participate in multi‑disciplinary meetings and liaise with other specialties for comprehensive care.
• Ensure appropriate utilization of resources and compliance with hospital policies on admissions, consultations, procedures, and discharge.
• Provide out‑of‑hours on‑call coverage on a rotational basis, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Communicate clinical information to patients, families, and team members in a timely manner.
• Support reporting, investigation, and response to untoward incidents.
