Sr. Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Join Esri’s dynamic engineering team to design, deploy, and operate next‑generation real‑time GIS SaaS solutions powered by ArcGIS Velocity. You will work on cloud‑scale architectures that serve thousands of users worldwide while enjoying a flexible hybrid schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to operate SaaS capabilities across multiple cloud regions.
• Design, implement, and configure monitoring systems (ELK, Prometheus) to ensure service health.
• Manage and troubleshoot the infrastructure supporting ArcGIS Velocity, responding to alerts and incidents.
• Develop and maintain containerized micro‑service deployment pipelines using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Participate in technical spikes, bringing innovative ideas to future software versions.
• Provide root‑cause analysis for system incidents and deliver on‑call technical support on a rotational basis.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes (AKS, EKS) and container technologies (Docker).
• Proficiency in logging and monitoring tools such as ELK and Prometheus.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Golang and familiarity with YAML for pipelines.
• Expert‑level knowledge of cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure or Amazon EC2) and CI/CD best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, GIS, or related field (Master’s preferred).
