Staff Nurse – OPD Procedure – Apheresis

About the role

The Staff Nurse will coordinate nursing care for out‑patient department (OPD) apheresis procedures at SSMC. The role involves direct patient care, education, and ensuring smooth transitions across the care continuum while upholding the institution’s mission and professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse comprehensive assessment data (physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, spiritual) to determine patient diagnoses and issues.
• Develop culturally appropriate, evidence‑based individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement care plans, perform apheresis treatments and related procedures according to established protocols.
• Administer medications safely following organisational policies.
• Document all aspects of care, including plan modifications, in the patient’s health record.
• Communicate relevant information across all levels of care and ensure continuity.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
• Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Strong commitment to professional ethics and the Abu Dhabi Professional Nurses Code of Conduct.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, families and healthcare teams.
