Staff Nurse – Surgical Wing (Tower C5)

About the role

The Staff Nurse in Tower C5’s Surgical Wing is responsible for coordinating comprehensive nursing care, delivering direct patient care, and providing education to patients and families. The role supports professional nursing practice across the care continuum while upholding SSMC’s mission, vision, and values.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse comprehensive assessment data (physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, spiritual) to determine patient diagnoses and issues.
• Develop culturally appropriate, individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Implement evidence‑based interventions, perform treatments and procedures, and administer medications according to policies.
• Document all care activities, outcomes, and plan modifications using standardized terminology.
• Communicate relevant information across all levels of care and ensure continuity of care.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
• Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Commitment to the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct for Abu Dhabi and UAE.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
