Staff Nurse – Tower B5, Medical Wing

About the role

The Staff Nurse in Tower B5 of the Medical Wing at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City provides direct patient care, education and coordination of nursing services across the continuum of care. The role supports professional nursing practice, adheres to the SSMC mission and the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct for Abu Dhabi and the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse comprehensive assessment data (physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, spiritual) to identify patient diagnoses and issues.
• Develop culturally appropriate, evidence‑based individualized care plans in partnership with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement, monitor and modify care plans, ensuring continuity of care and safe transitions.
• Document assessments, plans, interventions and outcomes using standardized terminology and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education, health promotion and health maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to prioritize care, mitigate risks and promote optimal patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum two years (24 months) of clinical nursing experience.
• Registered nurse licence recognised by the UAE regulatory authority.
• Commitment to the SSMC mission, vision and values and adherence to professional codes of conduct.
