Stakeholder Manager (Emirati National)

About the role

WSP is looking for an experienced Authority Liaison Manager to lead stakeholder engagement and approvals for major Property & Buildings projects across the UAE. The role focuses on coordinating with government entities, developers and other external parties to ensure smooth project delivery from design through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of stakeholder engineers, ensuring effective coordination with authorities and third parties.
• Manage the end‑to‑end stakeholder and approvals process for design and construction phases.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, developers and external stakeholders.
• Review and monitor authority submissions, feedback and approvals to meet project schedules.
• Act as primary contact for external stakeholders, resolving issues promptly.
• Coordinate with internal design and project teams to integrate stakeholder requirements.
• Develop stakeholder management plans, communication strategies and reporting mechanisms.
• Participate in coordination meetings to resolve conflicts and expedite approvals.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of correspondence, permits and approvals.
• Provide regular progress updates to project leadership and clients.

Required profile

• UAE National with a valid Family Book.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in stakeholder management, authority liaison or approvals within the UAE construction or consultancy sector.
• Strong understanding of UAE authority processes, design codes and approval workflows.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary stakeholder teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑management skills.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
