Statutory Compliance Specialist

About the role

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Statutory Compliance Specialist. You'll play a key role in ensuring our statutory reporting, audit, and tax compliance obligations are delivered accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual statutory financial statements in line with IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
• Ensure statutory accounts are fully reconciled to management accounts, accounting records, and ERP balances.
• Prepare financial statement disclosures, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and statutory reporting working papers.
• Coordinate year‑end and periodic statutory reporting activities to meet local and Group reporting deadlines.
• Prepare and review statutory balance‑sheet reconciliations, including intercompany, tax, provision, and equity accounts.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors throughout the audit process.
• Coordinate audit requests and facilitate timely resolution of queries with finance teams and stakeholders.
• Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting analyses for statutory audits.
• Support Company Secretarial activities, including annual returns, statutory filings, and regulatory submissions.
• Coordinate direct and indirect tax compliance activities across assigned entities.

Required profile

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA or equivalent).
• Knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Experience in statutory accounting, financial reporting, and external audit management.
• Familiarity with corporate tax, VAT, and wider tax compliance obligations.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of building strong internal and external relationships.
• Proactive approach with ownership of issues and ability to drive activities to completion.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Solutions‑focused, able to identify risks, resolve challenges, and continually improve processes.
