Steward – Food & Beverage

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Steward to join our Food & Beverage team at our Yas Island property. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and service areas, supporting smooth operations and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as dishwashers, hand wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations and trash compactors.
• Wash, disinfect and store kitchen tools, knives, silverware, dishes and equipment using proper chemicals and three‑compartment sinks.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables correctly, rotate stock and ensure clean wares are stored appropriately.
• Inspect, pull, stack and re‑wash items as needed; break down dirty bus tubs and manage waste disposal, recycling and glass segregation.
• Clean and mop all assigned areas, empty trashcans and maintain dumpster zones.
• Follow company safety, security and quality policies; report maintenance needs, accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb, standing for long periods and reaching overhead or below the knees.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or GED required.
• No prior related work experience necessary.
• Ability to work full‑time in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
• Willingness to follow safety training and certifications.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning chemicals and sanitising procedures.
• Basic stock handling and inventory rotation.
• Physical stamina for lifting, standing and repetitive motions.
