Steward – Food & Beverage Operations

About the role

The Steward supports the Food & Beverage team by maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This full‑time position is based at the hotel in Al Bateen Marina, Abu Dhabi, and involves operating cleaning equipment, handling deliveries, and ensuring all wares are stored correctly.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations and trash compactors.
• Wash, disinfect and sanitize kitchen areas, tools, knives, silverware and store‑room equipment.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables properly and rotate stock.
• Inspect, pull, stack cleaned items and re‑wash any that do not meet standards.
• Empty and maintain trash cans, dumpsters and recycling bins.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• No formal education or prior experience required.
• Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Capability to stand, walk and bend for extended periods.

Required skills

• Operation of dishwashing machines and hand‑wash stations.
• Use of cleaning, rinsing and sanitizing chemicals in a 3‑compartment sink.
• Handling of trash compactors, recycling processes and proper waste segregation.
