Steward

About the role

The Steward will support the Kitchen and Food & Beverage outlets at Kempinski Dubai by delivering courteous, professional service and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. This role is essential to ensuring guest satisfaction and smooth operation of the hotel’s dining areas.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional, courteous service to guests at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and surrounding zones.
• Execute high‑level service standards and supervise the team to meet them.
• Monitor and control operating supplies, equipment, and waste to reduce spoilage.
• Report equipment failures promptly and handle all machinery responsibly.
• Adhere strictly to hotel policies on fire safety, hygiene, health, and safety.
• Wear the correct uniform, safety shoes, and nametag; maintain personal hygiene and appearance.
• Assist with inventory counts of products and equipment.
• Clean and wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment according to established standards.
• Separate and manage garbage according to hotel regulations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a stewarding or similar role within a hotel or restaurant.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Professional, confidential, and ethical attitude at all times.
• Commitment to safety, organization, and punctuality.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, dishwashing machines, and appropriate chemicals.
