Stewarding Shift Leader

About the role

The Stewarding Shift Leader will oversee the cleanliness and hygiene of all food‑processing areas and equipment at Arabian Park Dubai, Edge by Rotana. Reporting to the Department Head, you will lead a team of stewarding staff to ensure high standards of sanitation, safety and service throughout the hotel’s Food & Beverage operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily duties of all stewarding department employees.
• Monitor and control the consumption of stewarding chemicals each day.
• Ensure sanitation, cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen and service equipment, and verify that all machinery is properly cleaned.
• Conduct regular safety checks, including keeping emergency exits clear and operable.
• Document and manage outgoing equipment and its return.
• Participate in monthly and annual inventory counts and prepare payroll‑related documents for the Department Head.
• Attend Food & Beverage department meetings and hold monthly briefings with stewarding staff to maintain open communication.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in hospitality or a related field.
• Previous experience in a similar stewarding or kitchen sanitation role.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem‑solving and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and pay close attention to detail.
