Storekeeper

About the role

The Storekeeper will manage warehousing and inventory tasks for the Dubai Metro engineering and maintenance stores. The role ensures accurate receipt, storage, issuance and documentation of materials while maintaining safety and FIFO standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive inbound deliveries, verify documents, label items and record them in the Maintenance Management System (MMS).
• Store materials using forklifts, pallet jacks or trolleys, applying FIFO and segregating hazardous items.
• Pick, kit and issue materials for maintenance teams, recording all movements in MMS.
• Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts and support annual stock‑take.
• Maintain housekeeping, 5S standards, and ensure proper handling of chemicals and waste.
• Operate lifting equipment safely after completing required training.

Required profile

• Higher Secondary Education, Diploma or equivalent in engineering, supply‑chain or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of store/warehouse experience, preferably in rail or a similar industry.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (UAE licence).
• Use of pallet jacks and trolleys.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Inventory management using the Maintenance Management System (MMS).
