Strategic Business Development Manager

About the role

This role serves as a critical link between Marketing, Sales, and prospective clients, helping to accelerate growth within strategically important customer segments. Working closely with Account Managers, Sales Specialists, Product Teams, and Marketing, the manager will identify opportunities within large, sophisticated organisations and engage partners across multiple levels to understand business priorities and position LSEG solutions optimally.

Key responsibilities

• Develop deep knowledge of key strategic accounts, hedge funds, asset managers and other priority market segments and create account engagement plans.
• Generate qualified sales opportunities across LSEG’s product and service portfolio through outbound prospecting, event follow‑up and targeted campaigns.
• Build and nurture relationships within financial communities, translating market intelligence into business development initiatives.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Specialists and Customer Success to support account growth and share market insights.
• Maintain expertise on LSEG solutions, market trends, regulatory and technology developments affecting clients.

Required profile

• Strong commercial and strategic thinking with proven success engaging senior stakeholders in large, complex accounts.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation and influencing skills, able to establish credibility with senior executives.
• Demonstrated business development expertise, creating opportunities through strategic prospecting and account‑based engagement.
