Strategic Sourcing Director – Middle East & Africa

About the role

Radisson Hotel Group is seeking a dynamic Strategic Sourcing Director to lead its Global Procurement and Purchasing (GPP) function across the Middle East and Africa. This senior position will shape regional sourcing strategies, drive cost‑leadership, and ensure operational excellence within a multicultural, matrixed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for a wide range of goods and services across all MEA countries, aligned with global and regional objectives.
• Lead supplier performance management, focusing on continuous improvement, cost optimisation and innovation.
• Partner with local business leaders to drive cost efficiencies while enhancing product quality, productivity and customer experience.
• Champion procurement transformation with emphasis on cost leadership, innovation and operational effectiveness.
• Support Operations teams to increase compliance and deliver best‑in‑class procurement practices.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts and service level agreements in line with corporate policies.
• Serve as escalation point for supplier‑related matters, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the corporate GPP team to implement global contracts and initiatives regionally.
• Lead, inspire and develop a multicultural team across multiple countries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Economics, Business, Engineering or related); Master’s degree highly desirable.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in strategic sourcing within cross‑cultural, matrix‑based environments.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with proven ability to engage senior operational leaders.
• Strong negotiation and conflict‑resolution capabilities.
• Ability to balance corporate procurement standards with external stakeholder expectations.
• Consultative approach to drive procurement compliance across independently minded hotel leadership teams.
• Resilience and adaptability in ambiguous environments, handling changing priorities and incomplete information.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
