Structural Engineer – Architectural Consultancy (Dubai)

About the role

We are an architectural engineering consultancy seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Dubai team. The role involves on‑site visits, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering design solutions for concrete and steel structures.

Key responsibilities

• Design and calculate concrete and steel structures in compliance with local codes.
• Create detailed drawings using CAD software, incorporating precise measurements and building specifications.
• Prepare and review drawings, charts, and records using both CAD and conventional drafting techniques.
• Coordinate with architectural and MEP disciplines to ensure compatible designs.
• Issue technical reports, schedules, responses to RFIs, and review shop drawings and material submittals.
• Visit construction sites to perform measurements, verify dimensions, and monitor contractor work.
• Obtain necessary approvals from building authorities and ensure compliance with DM, DDA, and Trakhees standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• Member of a recognized engineering society.
• DM‑approved professional license.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the UAE.

Required skills

• Proficiency with design software: ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, Tekla Structures, AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality (DM), Dubai Development Authority (DDA) and Trakhees specifications.
• Ability to develop detailed construction drawings and coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts.
