About the role
The British International School Abu Dhabi is looking for a Student Support Assistant to join its AEN (Additional Educational Needs) team. This role provides targeted learning support for pupils with diverse needs, both inside and outside the classroom, helping them achieve their full potential.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver one‑to‑one and small‑group support for students with AEN requirements.
- Adapt and prepare resources to suit differentiated instruction.
- Collaborate with the Head of Inclusion and teachers to design and review personalised support programmes.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
- Foster an inclusive, welcoming environment that encourages student participation.
Required profile
- Compassionate, patient and proactive attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent English speaker; additional language is an advantage.
- Experience in a school setting is desirable.
- Degree‑level education preferred.
