Superintendent, Technical (Dry & Cont.)

About the role

The Technical Superintendent for Dry & Cont. will lead the overall management and technical operations of ADNOC Logistics & Services' fleet of vessels. This senior position ensures that ships are safe, efficient, and compliant with all regulatory and contractual requirements while supporting the company’s strategic maritime logistics objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance, repair activities, budgeting, survey schedules, onboard assessments, inspections, and docking for assigned vessels.
• Ensure vessels meet technical performance targets, safety standards, and management agreement requirements.
• Contribute to the dry‑fleet department strategic plan from a technical perspective and advise shipmasters and chief engineers.
• Review and supervise ship repair requests, guaranteeing compliance with class societies, IMO, OCIMF, and ICS rules within budget.
• Manage the dry‑docking process, including preparation of repair specifications, tender analysis, and supervision of repairs.
• Monitor planned maintenance schedules and ensure timely renewal of ship certifications.
• Supervise completion of maintenance work and verify alignment with company and industry standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 96 months (8 years) of experience in technical ship management or a related maritime role.
• Strong knowledge of class society regulations, IMO standards, and dry‑docking procedures.
• Proven ability to manage repair budgets and supervise technical projects.
• Experience advising shipmasters, chief engineers, and other technical personnel.
• Excellent analytical and decision‑making skills in a maritime environment.
