Supervisor – Land Freight Operations

About the role

The Supervisor Land Freight coordinates and oversees daily land‑freight operations within the logistics cluster, ensuring efficient truck utilization, timely deliveries, strong client relationships, and strict safety and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange day‑to‑day operations and monitor truck utilization.
• Verify packing lists and coordinate the required number and type of vehicles.
• Ensure fleet requirements from clients and coordinators are met promptly.
• Arrange trucks, manpower, and equipment before loading shipments, guaranteeing safe cargo handling.
• Manage outsourced trucks and oversee their performance.
• Issue delivery notes, ensure accurate submission, and close jobs.
• Submit required documents (e.g., port delivery notes, payment receipts) after delivery.
• Maintain strong client relationships by providing necessary documents and reports.
• Develop and monitor performance metrics, work schedules, and delivery timelines.
• Respond to customer follow‑ups, improve delivery efficiency, and handle justified complaints.

Required profile

• Graduate degree, preferably with diplomas in logistics, shipping or export.
• Good reading, writing and arithmetic skills; basic communication in English.
• 3–4 years of experience in logistics or supply‑chain operations.
• Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or logistics software.
• Knowledge of transport regulations and safety standards.
