Supervisor Product Management – LV Switchgear

About the role

Vertiv is seeking a Supervisor Product Management professional to lead the development, validation and compliance of low‑voltage (LV) switchgear products in the UAE. The role combines product development leadership with hands‑on lab management to ensure products meet IEC 61439 and local authority standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small team of engineers and technicians to develop high‑performance, cost‑effective LV switchgear.
• Oversee design verification and ensure compliance with IEC 61439 temperature rise, dielectric strength and short‑circuit requirements.
• Manage internal test lab activities and coordinate with external labs for type‑testing, prototyping and validation.
• Approve technical drawings, BOMs and design modifications while driving value‑engineering initiatives.
• Ensure products meet UAE and regional regulations (e.g., ADDC, ASTA) for switchgear and control panels.
• Plan and execute projects from concept to commercialisation, aligning timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Support manufacturing readiness and coordinate with factory engineering teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Extensive experience in LV switchgear development, sheet‑metal enclosure fabrication and related roles.
• Proven track record managing testing laboratories and conducting IEC 61439 type‑testing.
• Strong leadership, project management and cross‑functional communication skills.
• Familiarity with UAE authority regulations such as ADDC and ASTA certification processes.

Required skills

• IEC 61439‑1 & 2 compliance expertise.
• LV switchgear design and sheet‑metal enclosure fabrication.
• ASTA/KEMA certification and type‑testing procedures.
• Knowledge of IEC 60947, IEC 60898, IEC 61008/61009 and IEC 61010 standards.
• ADDC regulatory requirements.
• Lab test data analysis and validation.
